Every day at Sephora, there are endless opportunities for all to learn and develop because we never stop evolving.

I’m Pamas Limpiwatana – Training Manager at Sephora Thailand. I have been happily working with Sephora for more than five years and I am still learning something new every day.

As a trainer, I think of creative ways to facilitate and build the foundational knowledge of cast members. I do my best to craft and hone their skills to deliver the best Sephora experience for our customers. The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the lives of people all over the world, including an unprecedented educational crisis due to physical distancing and remote learning.

This requires re-thinking, the concepts of and approach to learning for the store team. There are a lot of new work-from-home learning and activities that have been developed for the team. For example, learning from podcasts, zoom group discussions and the latest one would be learning from the experts – Topic: beauty x fashion (Sephora x Dior) where we invite the experts from our LVMH family to share critical knowledge and experience with our cast members. This knowledge can be actively applied to our customers each day. 

As adults, we tend to focus on the areas of our core competencies. Of course, this is the quickest route towards the kind of career and life experiences you’d imagine yourself to be in, to keep yourself engaged and motivated. However, learning is essential at every point in life, and it is a never-ending journey. There is no age or limit to what we can learn, whenever and wherever. It all boils down to your willingness to learn. Try to innovate, try out new things in your life, stay positive, and continue learning each day!
